Trees are an integral part of our planet, from purifying our air and waterways to housing life within their branches to beautifying our city streets. Trees do more than we can even imagine. A recent study showed we could reverse a majority of the CO2 we release into the atmosphere with a massive planting of trees.

There is enough room in the world’s existing parks, forests, and abandoned land to plant 1.2 trillion additional trees, which would have the CO2 storage capacity to cancel out a decade of carbon dioxide emissions, according to a new analysis by ecologist Thomas Crowther and colleagues at ETH Zurich, a Swiss university.

Ecosia is a search engine just like Google, but instead of taking the ad revenue for themselves, they donate their ad revenue to planting trees across the world. It is a simple way to plant millions of trees.

2. Find organizations who plant trees
There are so many different organizations that help plant trees all over the globe! You can either donate on their websites or volunteer in person to plant trees.
One Tree Planted plants 1 tree for every $1 spent. Projects reach from the United States to all around the world!

The Arbor Day Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit conservation and education organization founded in 1972 by John Rosenow. It is the largest nonprofit membership organization dedicated to tree planting. The Foundation's stated corporate mission is "to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees".
3. Find brands that give back to nature
